A kick off meeting - the opening event of the ONLINE PLATFORM FOR EXCHANGE OF SPECIAL NEEDS YOUTH WORK METHODS (OPEN) project took place in Sofia in the period 20-21, 09, 2017. Partner organizations from Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Italy and Slovenia gathered to discuss the implementation of this ambitious project whose ultimate goal is to improve the skills of youth workers to work with young people with 5 types of difficulties.

The project, funded by the EU's Erasmus + program, lasts for two years with a leading organization – National Organization of Resource Teachers. An online platform for the exchange of good practices for the training of youth workers in the informal learning and personal development of young people aged 13-18 with dyslexia and autism, visual, hearing and physical impairments will be set up within the project. In addition, two webinars for youth workers and professionals are foreseen to be provided by each of the partner organizations.
